BODY OF MISSING 40 YRS OLD MAN , ABDUCTED FROM POLICEMEN RECOVERED IN LAGOS

The body of a 40- year- old man Wale Kalejaiye,who was declared missing ,after some hoodlums attacked policemen from the Inspector General of Police Monitoring Unit (IG Monitoring Unit) in the Akodo area of Lagos State has been recovered.

The body was on Saturday recovered by policemen from the Akodo Divisional Police Station at a beach in the Ibeju Lekki area of the state.

The body was recovered by the police team from the police station ,who have been on a rescue mission,since the incident was reported

The deceased Kalejaiye had last Monday led operatives of the IG Monitoring and some mobile policemen to Akodo,when the hoodlums attacked the policemen and abducted him .

Kalejaiye went missing for some days as his mobile phone was switched off by his abductors ,prompting his family members to raise the alarm .

Policemen from the Akodo Divisional Police Station have since arrested four persons in connection with the murder .

A relative of the deceased Kalejaiye ,Jalailu Alimi confirmed the recovery of the body to newsmen and added that the recovered body had been deposited at the mortuary for autopsy .

Alimi said ” It is a very bad thing that these people had to kill my brother for nothing .This is the most wicked thing I have seen in my life .”

He continued that ” we got a call from the police at Akodo division early Saturday morning that they had recovered the corpse .”

“The people killed him and dumped the body in the ocean at Segun Beach in Ibeju Lekki .

He identified those arrested in connection with the incident as Bariu Oluwo , Ayoku Ogunlaja Tajudeen Agbaje and Segun Hassan .

The police at Akodo Police Station are still on the trail of other members of the hoodlums

The image maker in charge of the state police command ,Muyiwa Adejobi said that the operations was carried out by policemen from Abuja and directed our reporter to the Force PRO ,Frank Mba .

Efforts to speak with MBA, however failed as calls to his mobile phone line were not answered as at the time of filing this report.
