An aircraft belonging to the Nigerian Air Force has crashed in Kaduna.

According to reports, the aircraft was conveying officers to a yet to be disclosed destination.

As of this moment, it is not yet clear how many officers were onboard the aircraft or the degree of casualty.

The Nigerian Air Force is yet to release an official statement on the unfortunate incident.

It would be recalled that around May 2021, Nigeria’s Chief of Army Staff, Ibrahim Attahiru was killed, in a plane crash. Attahiru and seven other military chiefs were on the Military Beachcraft 350 aircraft before it crashed somewhere in Kaduna.

Prior Attahiru’s crash, two other military aircraft crashes had occurred in the same 2021.

On Sunday, February 21, 2021, seven NAF officers died onboard a Beechcraft KingAir B350i aircraft when the jet crashed in Abuja.

Also, on Wednesday, March 31, 2021, NAF spokesman, Air Commodore Edward Gabkwet, said an Alpha-Jet aircraft was involved in the anti-terror war against Boko Haram and Islamic State West Africa Province lost radar contact in Borno State.

Two officers were onboard the missing jet which was later declared crashed and the whereabouts of the two airmen unknown.
