In order to stem the wave of the unacceptable and rather embarassing development of the indiscriminate sprouting of parishes with total disregard for set procedures in Edo State, the apex body of the Celestial Church of Christ, Edo State Divisional Head, hereby stipulates that effective immediately:
1.There shall be no more laying of new Altars within Benin metropolis for a period of two (2) years.
2.Altars can only be set up on the outskirts or in the interiors to further strenghten the spread and presence of the Celestial Church of Christ in the rural areas.
This development was birthed as a result of the conclusions reached at the General Meeting for Clergies held on 13th March, 2023, at the C.C.C. Edo State Divisional Headquarters, Wire Road, Benin City, Edo State. It should also be noted that the same conclusions were reached at a meeting held at the residence of the Pastoral Adviser, Most Superior Evangelist N. Amadasun, smetime in 2022.
The foregoing development is an offshoot of the unsavoury trend of a large number of C.C.C. Parishes springing up with the Shepherds of such parishes having little or no knowledge of the doctrines of the Celestial Church of Christ thus giving birth to outrageous illegalities and misconducts that spew dirty waters on the name and reputation of our great church.
All Shepherds and State Officers are expected to abide by these new regulations, as failure to comply would attract severe sanctions.
In a similar development, the central administration of the Celestial Church of Christ Worldwide under the leadership of His Eminence, Reverend Emmanuel Mobiyina Oshoffa, Pastor and Spiritual Head of the Celestial Church of Christ Worldwide, has frowned at the activities of one Prophet Rita Osawaru based in Benin City, Edo State, who parades herself as the “Prophetess in Charge” of a white garment church (not C.C.C.) but adorns the Sutana of the Celestial Church of Christ and violates our doctrines and ordinances with reckless abandon. The Task Force Corps, C.C.C. W/w, would partner with the Edo State task Force to address this unacceptable development.
