The Executive Chairman of Ijede LCDA, Hon. Motunrayo Gbadebo-Alogba has distributed educational materials to primary school pupils in the LCDA. The initiative is tagged “Back to School Intervention” in line with her administration’s commitment toward promoting education.
The educational materials—which include exercise books and school uniforms—were distributed to carefully selected pupils of six government primary schools in the LCDA on Monday, September 25th and Tuesday, September 26th.
The beneficiary schools include Anglican Nursery and Primary School, Egbin Kingdom Primary School, Anwar Ul Islam Primary School, Methodist Nursery and Primary School, Community Nursery and Primary School, Igbe-Ogunro Nursery and Primary School.
Speaking during the presentation at one of the schools, the council boss said the current administration will leave no stone unturned to ensure that no child is denied access to education due to financial constraints. “We are empowering them to reach for the stars and become future leaders,” she said.
Gbadebo-Alogba further disclosed that the graduation ceremony of the students of the vocational school is forthcoming. This, according to her, “showcases the LCDA’s commitment to providing diverse educational opportunities”.
The Obateru of Egbin Kingdom, Oba (Dr.) Akeem Oriyomi Oyebo commended the Executive Chairman for the initiative, describing it as a “kind and impactful gesture.”
