Chelsea defender Reece James has now hinted he is close to coming back from injury at Stamford Bridge.

He posted an Instagram story stating he will return soon after being ruled out for a considerable period of time due to injury.

Many feared this season we were in for more of the same when it came to James, as reports surfaced that he had picked up another muscle injury to begin the season.

There was a real hope that these problems may have been behind him going into this season, especially after faith was put in him to be the club captain for this season.

Those responsibilities have since then been passed on to vice skipper Ben Chilwell, with the duo being very popular with new manager Mauricio Pochettino.

He has not featured since a strong performance on opening day against Liverpool, and his loss has obviously been felt both on and off the pitch.

However, it has been managed by the emergence of Malo Gusto, who has done his best to fill the void left by the absence.

The Frenchman has already picked up a couple of assists, showing he certainly has the attacking capabilities required to play the role.

However, his run in the starting team could be about to come to an end, as a result of the return of the England international.

He took to his own Instagram story with the message: “Back to it soon.”

Supporters will be praying he doesn’t return too early in order to enjoy a long period back in the first team.
